Barry Valentine is a Senior Advisor Emeritus at The Wicks Group, PLLC. Although Barry has retired from regular involvement in TWG projects and matters, he remains available to advise firm leadership on issues when requested. Barry has more than 40 years of aviation experience, encompassing several senior positions in the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and in industry, and has long been active in governmental and industry advisory groups. Mr. Valentine makes his aviation expertise available to The Wicks Group, PLLC’s attorneys on relevant matters, and also assists the firm’s legal work as an expert witness. He also works directly on projects for The Wicks Group Consulting, LLC.
Prior to joining TWG, Barry served as the FAA Administrator (Acting) and FAA Assistant Administrator for Policy, Planning, and International Aviation; Director of the Portland (Maine) International Jetport; and Senior Vice President for International Affairs for the General Aviation Manufacturers Association. His professional activities also include serving on the US Transportation Security Administration’s Aviation Safety Advisory Committee General Aviation Working Group, on the Board of Directors of the National Aviation Safety Foundation, on the Board of Governors of the Aero Club of Washington, on the Board of Directors of the Experimental Aircraft Association, and on the Advisory Board of Women in Aviation International.
