The Wicks Group (TWG) recently joined two organizations formed to support India’s growing aviation sector, the US-India Aviation Cooperation Program (ACP) and the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC). With these memberships, TWG is supporting continued improvements in global aviation safety and the development of closer business and trade ties between the U.S. and India. Involvement in the two organizations also enhances TWG’s ability to advise and support clients interested in pursuing aviation and business opportunities in India and the surrounding region.
Founded in 2007, the ACP is a public-private partnership between theU.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), other U.S. government agencies, and U.S. companies. The partnership provides a forum for discussion between the Government of India and U.S. stakeholders in the Indian aviation industry, and promotes growth in India’s aerospace sector through technical cooperation programs and similar initiatives.
The IACC is an industry-led organization that works to link the U.S. and India business sectors, and to encourage effective business, trade, and economic relations between the countries. This mission is accomplished primarily through initiatives that facilitate exports from India and U.S. investments in India’s private sector.
