On June 2, 2014, The Wicks Group signed a one-year contract to provide technical assistance and consulting services to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of India. The contract was supported by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), who provided funds for a bilateral assistance agreement to assist India in strengthening its regulatory capacity in order to meet ICAO standards. Under the terms of the contract, The Wicks Group will assist the DGCA in addressing the findings from the recent safety audit by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Wicks Group will also review and assist in upgrading the DGCA’s oversight mechanisms and processes as a part of its technical assistance. In addition to signing the contract The Wicks Group and DGCA have begun work on June 2 with a target of completing the mutually agreed tasks in the nearest future.
