The Wicks Group (TWG) is proud to announce its corporate sponsorship of Air Serv International, a U.S.- based non-governmental organization and non-profit, which provides air transportation services to worldwide humanitarian organizations and disaster relief programs. We are pleased to join FedEx Express, Alaska Airlines, and Safran USA in sponsoring Air Serv International.
Over the years TWG has represented Air Serv International on apro bono basis in furtherance of the NGO’s humanitarian mission. We have counseled Air Serv International in relation to the administration and performance of assistance awards from U.S. State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). For example, TWG has represented Air Serv International proceedings regarding compliance with the U.S. Defense Base Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 1651–1654, under federal assistance awards designed to support Sudanese refugees and internally displaced people in Chad. We have also assisted the NGO in performing its USAID grant to provide humanitarian air lift at the height of the Iraq War, including the safe passage of hostages who had been released by Iraqi insurgents. TWG TWG also supports Air Serv Limited, the organization's Uganda-based subsidiary which provides air charter, aviation maintenance and consulting services to individuals, companies and international organizations operating in East Africa from its base at Entebbe International Airport.
TWG provides specialized legal and consulting services to clients with aviation interests. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., TWG assists a wide variety of clients from all over the world, including U.S. and foreign civil aviation authorities, airlines, airports and airport service providers, aircraft manufacturers, freight forwarders, and companies that operate corporate or private jets.
