Erin Patton began her position as an Analyst on February 1, 2022. Erin holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Service from American University, School of International Service (SIS). Her expertise is in qualitative research and strategic communications.
As an Analyst, Erin has assisted on both of TWG’s international projects this year in Angola and Bahrain. She has contributed to developing and facilitating aviation safety inspector training programs and editing inspector guidance materials for the Bahrain and Angola civil aviation authorities (CAAs). Erin speaks Arabic and was able to use her language skills during TWG’s on-site visit to Bahrain in September 2022.
Nathan Sykes has been working as an Associate for TWG since May 15, 2022. Nathan holds a Juris Doctor from the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University and was recently admitted to the DC Bar. Nathan's business law experience includes bankruptcy advising, zoning litigation, real estate litigation, and collections litigation. Nathan's immigration law experience includes an array of employment-based visas and motions to cancel clients' deportation proceedings.
Nathan has worked on editing guidance and regulations for both Angola’s and Bahrain’s CAAs, as well as researching and drafting memoranda on various international aviation topics and U.S. economic regulations. Additionally, Nathan has drafted corporate resolutions to ensure compliance and has amended corporations’ bylaws to conform with their practices.
Ford Chandler joined TWG as an Analyst on September 6, 2022. Ford holds a Master’s in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, the Arts, and Social Thought from Bard College Berlin in Berlin, Germany.
Ford has assisted with training sessions conducted for the Angola CAA and industry personnel, and assisting in updating and drafting regulations/guidance. Ford is also proficient in Portuguese and acted on occasion as an interpreter on site in Angola.
Established in 1999 and based in Washington, DC, The Wicks Group has a lengthy record of providing technical assistance to CAAs worldwide, including those of India, Panama, Cabo Verde, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, and Trinidad and Tobago. In all, ten FAA Category 1 ratings have been issued to TWG IASA technical assistance clients to date – a 100% track record. TWG also regularly assists foreign air carriers with obtaining the US government approvals needed for US air carrier operations and foreign repair stations with securing FAA certification required to maintain US-registered aircraft.
